Balgove Road, Gauldry

Sitting at the edge of the Fife village of Gauldry, Campion Homes has completed 30 brand new homes for social rent built to Passivhaus and Net Zero Carbon standards on behalf of Kingdom Housing Association.

Passivhaus is an innovative way to design homes and focuses on the use of sunshine, shade and ventilation to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature without having to use as much energy as a more traditionally designed home.

The £6.9 million pound development provides a mix of homes which will be available to a wide range of people. The design respects and integrates with the existing area making a positive contribution to the future vision for housing.

Designing to such a high standard will not only provide an environmental benefit but will also address fuel poverty by reducing energy costs for tenants. 

The 30 new low carbon homes will be highly efficient and will achieve an energy rating of A (92-100).
