Negotiated design and build project on behalf of Abertay Housing Association through the "Golden  Brick" scheme.

The site formed part of a larger area with main part developed as a new ASDA store and this part was identified for housing as part of the main Planning Approval. Campion Homes identified and procured part of the site following a negotiated acquisition from ASDA. Working in partnership with Abertay Housing Association, we designed and developed 16nr 1 bedroom amenity flats comprising 4 blocks of cottage flats.

The planning process was a challenge with the site adjacent to a conservation area and the planners required a sympathetic approach to this development. Site levels were also challenging and the restricted area required careful layout and design to minimise costly retention measures.

Sustainability features included timber from FSC accredited source; on-site fabrication; high efficiency boilers with gas savers; dedicated low energy light fittings.
