Primrose Street, Alloa won the Silver Award in the 'Affordable Housing' category at the recent 2023 Scottish Design Awards ceremony.

The development was a partnership project between Kingdom Housing Association, Clackmannanshire Council and The Scottish Government in collaboration with Architecture and Design Scotland (A&DS), Bracewell Stirling Consulting and University of Stirling.

The transformation of a derelict town centre site saw the creation of 60 brand new dementia friendly designed homes.

Primrose Place, within the town centre of Alloa, was part of an extensive regeneration initiative and provides a housing solution to the local ageing community offering quality assisted living opportunities.

The new energy efficient homes bring high quality town centre living for people of all ages, making local services and amenities easily accessible.

The positive impact the development has had on the town centre was recognised at the Scotland Loves Local Awards, winning the “Town Centre Living” category. A great achievement.

Congratulations and well done to everyone involved in this project.
