Oakley Road, Saline
A design and build development on behalf of Kingdom Housing Association.
Site was acquired by the Association and, as part of an option agreement with an adjacent developer, Campion Homes was able to relocate, and share, the SUDS and foul pumping station on site both reducing cost and freeing up site area for additional units. Based on this added value, a negotiated Design and Build Contract was undertaken. Without these added benefits, the site was not viable with the requirement for extensive retention measures which could not be engineered out.
The development provided 55nr units comprising General Needs and Amenity units in two storey houses and cottage flats together with bungalow wheelchair standard units.
The layout was fully compliant with ‘Designing for Streets’ providing safe circulation for drivers and pedestrians with a mix of courtyard and in curtilage parking.
