Although originally an American celebration, in recent years Halloween has become more popular across Scotland as people rediscover our country’s spooky traditions! From guising to carving pumpkins (or neeps!), Halloween is now widely celebrated across Scotland every year.

This year’s Halloween celebrations might look a little different from normal, but there is still lots for families to get up to this October in Fife. Here is our round up of some of the best ways to celebrate Halloween in Fife this year

Scarefest at the Drive In

Enjoy spooky movies from the comfort of your car this Halloween weekend! Scarefest at the Drive In, located in Methil, will show four classic spooky films on October 31st & November 1st, with free popcorn for every car and the chance to take part in a fancy-dress competition.

The films on show are Hocus Pocus, Halloween, Matilda and Poltergeist, with all profits going towards local community groups.

Wicked Kids Zoom Party

Let the Halloween fun come to your own home with the Wicked Kids Zoom Party! In this spooktacular online event, your little ones can interact with their wicked characters while joining in with singing, dancing, games, and crafts.

Halloween Spooktacular at Dobbies

Enjoy Halloween as a family this year at Dobbies Dunfermline’s Halloween Spooktacular. Kids can tuck into delicious treats before taking part in creepy craft activities and ghoulish games. There will also be a fancy-dress competition, so make sure you come in your spooky best!

Halloween Cooking Club

Get kids in the kitchen this October Holiday! The Halloween Cooking Club in Kirkcaldy allows children to get involved with making tasty meals while having great fun. They’ll get frighteningly creative, making pepper lanterns, mummy calzones and creepy cookies! Plus, there will be a sensory table for seeing, smelling, and tasting unusual ingredients.
