Living in Leven: Things to do in Leven
As part of our Living in Leven series, we are exploring the town and all the great things to do and see in this part of Fife.
There are all sorts of things that you can get up to in Leven – we have listed a few of our favourites below.
Food and Drink
Base is a super cool and relaxed restaurant in the centre of Leven. Locals love Base for its quirky interior and laid-back feel, and of course, the delicious food on offer. This Leven establishment serves great comfort classics like pizzas, burgers and sticky toffee pudding. Some gorgeous cocktails and a selection of craft beers are also on the menu.
Agenda is a family-friendly restaurant with a wide selection of pub grub classics and contemporary recipes at great prices. Head there for a weekend family meal or an after-work treat.
The Lemon Tree
This is a sweet little coffee shop that serves up delightful cakes and baked treats. They also do a fabulous coffee and a mean hot chocolate. Pop in for a catch-up with friends.
Here you can find a host of local produce and gifts, a fresh butchers counter, a florist and their very own tearoom offering scrumptious meals and cakes. Treat yourself to some delicious scones, meringues, cakes or biscuits which are baked daily at this family-run eatery. Younger visitors will love the Blacketyside Fort which hosts an exciting playground, bouncy trampolines and slides.

Fife Heritage railway
A great day out for kids (and big kids!), the Fife Heritage Railway often opens its doors for the public to try out its restored steam and diesel trains. Catch their special Christmas opening, Santa Express, in mid-December.
One for the little ones – Action Zone is perfect for little feet that need a good run around. With climbing frames, a giant ball pit and trampolines, this place is a hit with little Leveners!
Leven Links Golf Course
Golfing fanatics will love Leven Links Golf course, which was founded in 1846! It is a traditional Tom Morris course, meaning that there are some fiendish drives hidden amongst the more tranquil ones.
There are two private member clubs at Leven Links – Leven golfing society and Leven golf club – both of which welcome visitors.
