Giving back to the community
As it approaches Christmas, there is a big focus on giving back. Campion Homes aim to give back to the local community throughout the year in fun ways that get the whole community involved.
A huge part of giving our homeowners a fantastic place to live is to improve the lives of the people around them. Here are just some of the fantastic ways Campion Homes have helped to give back to the community…
Inverkeithing Primary School
In November 2017 we began working with Inverkeithing Primary School to allow pupils to discover more about the Construction Industry and to inspire them to take pride in their community. This was done through a programme of events which included design workshops, site visits and health & safety talks. We hope to continue this great work in inspiring young children in the future.
Lundin Links Bowling Club
We have supported our wonderful local bowling club by purchasing a new defibrillator for them in case of emergency – this is also available to the local community.
In addition, we are delighted to sponsor their Campion Homes Championship Competition and to fund promotion of their ‘Drop in week’.
Scottish Housing Day 2018
This year’s Scottish Housing Day took place on September 19th and we at Campion Homes were delighted to lend our support. The purpose is to raise awareness of developments in housing and to help people make more informed decisions regarding their housing options. In the Year of Young People, the focus was on supporting young people in the housing market and putting them at the heart of Scotland’s economic, environmental and social policy.
Pedal for Scotland
Our Campion Homes team did fantastically well in Pedal for Scotland 2018, and our 18 strong team raised a whopping £13,615.16 for their chosen charity – Finding Your Feet Amputee Charity. 14 members of the team completed the 45-mile route from Glasgow to Edinburgh, while the other four braved the Big Belter, a 100-mile route! A huge well done to all who took part and managed to raise the impressive sum, a great thing to do for a wonderful charity.
Radio Forth Cash for Kids
As part of Pedal for Scotland, Neil Marks won a £500 voucher to spend at Bike for Good in Glasgow. Neil decided to use this voucher to purchase 4 new bikes to be gifted to the children supported by Radio Forth’s Cash for Kids. This will help disadvantaged children in Scotland receive a great Christmas present, so well done to Neil for his wonderful gesture!
