On the hunt for the best dog walks in Fife? The UK is a nation of dog lovers, and Fife is no different!

Walking your dog is a great way to get out, relax and exercise. Luckily, Fife residents have access to an abundance of great dog walking routes thanks to the many parks, country trails and open spaces that are available.

We love walking with our four-legged friends. Here is a selection of some of the best dog walks in Fife…

Fife coastal path

If you like the seaside then you will love the Fife coastal path. Stretching for over 116 miles, and with entrance points all across Fife including Leven, the route is varied enough that you will never run out of sights to see. Your furry friend will be able to wander around sniffing new smells to their heart’s content.

On some parts of the coastal path, be prepared for lots of splashes as your dog paddles in the sea. On other sections of the path it’s safe even for puppies to run around in the open spaces. Just be sure to bring plenty of water – especially if you plan on attempting the full 116 miles!

We also recommend getting some doggy shoes for rockier parts of the trail – we would not want those precious paws getting hurt.

Leven beach

Leven beach is an expansive stretch of sand, making it the perfect place for your pet to chase after a ball, paddle and get some good exercise.

For energetic owners, Leven beach is also a great place to jog with your dog, as it offers enough space and distance for a good workout.

Plus, afterwards, you can enjoy an ice cream or coffee on Leven promenade!

Cambo Country House and estate, St Andrews

If you live in Fife, you may have already heard of Cambo Country House. But did you know it is also pawfect for pooches? The estate has large woodland spaces where your dog can stretch its legs in a safe and enclosed space.

Additionally, dogs have access to the grounds and gardens when they are kept on a lead. Open all year round, this is a beautiful area and a great space for socialising with other curious canines.

Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline

With gorgeous views and located in the centre of Dunfermline, Pittencrieff Park is ideal for restful walking in a large green space away from the bustle of the town.

Gorgeous in any season, we particularly love going in Autumn when orange, golden and yellow-hued leaves can be seen cascading from the park’s many trees.

This is an enclosed space where dogs can walk off-lead safely, and there are several walking routes you can take to keep you both entertained!

Remember to follow the guidance of local authorities, and always keep your dog on a lead  whenever instructed!
